We said goodbye today to our dear crewmember Marie-Andree. She flew out from Hiva Oa to join her friends on Tahiti and Bora-Bora. Now it’s just the guys and without a woman on board we’re on our own way to Tahiti… No woman on board, that means we have to do our own sailtrim, navigation, cooking, dinghy driving, reading, movies, teeth brushing, bedtime stories and so on from now on.
This morning I said my goodbye to Marie on the airport and when I came back to the ship I saw Matty and Arent at a loss what to do with this big white thing under their butts and no clue to what should be done with it. Yes, it is obvious. We’re at a loss right now.
Marie has been a great member of this family on Helena and we are and will surely be missing her even more on all future voyages. In the same time we’re all wishing for her to have the greatest adventures and unforgettable voyages and we are looking forward to meeting her again in exotic places.
Rolf and friends,
geweldig wat jullie aan het doen zijn! ik volg je regelmatig, succes en geniet. groetjes Marie-Claire, dochter van Pim Brand
